The Auberge is the perfect setting for painting workshops, offering 140 acres of green meadows, wild-flower filled pastures, woodlands, ponds, a brook, gardens, animals, a sugar house, and breath-taking sunsets. Auberge Schweizer is also equipped with a classroom for group instruction, and groups are served three full, healthy, fresh meals each day.

As well as running the Barbara Simmons painting workshops, Auberge Schweizer is also available to other painting groups who would like to benefit from the awe-inspiring landscape and comfortable accommodations.

This is where all the action is! Mount Sutton, Owls Head, Mount Orford, Bromont and Jay Peak, Vermont are all within easy driving distance. All of the ski centers are located in the most scenic regions south-east of Montreal and north of Vermont. For the cross-country skier there are several centers operating in and around Sutton. For those who like adventure they can cross-country ski or snowshoe on our natural marked trails.

Auberge Schweizer is an Elderhostel-designated campus, which offers weekly educational and outdoor programs founded by the university of New Hampshire for people aged 55 or older.
